I know it has been a while since I posted anything about the move, and thats probably because moving is SO darn exhausting! Kurt and I have been packing, unpacking, loading, unloading, rearranging, cleaning, etc etc etc all week!
Oscar and Lyla seem to be adjusting well, and getting used to townhouse life. They still get spooked with the boxers next door bark at them, and sliiiiiiiiiiide accross the ceramic tile in the dining room and kitchen every once and a while when they forget it isn't carpeted like the old house...but over all I think they like it. =)
I'm going out to make one of my first important adult purchases today, a kitchen table! Wahoo...its strange when you start getting excited about things like that...must mean I am getting old!
Pictures to come soon.

Congrats Mike and Mandy!
Last weekend, we had a baby shower for one of my co workers. Kurt and I really wanted to give Mike and Mandy a very unique and handmade gift. We had planned on making a rocking chair to match the baby's room, but couldn't find one that we liked.
Kurt found this rocking horse at, and we fell in love!
Kurt spent several days sanding and painting the whole thing a light, buttery yellow to match the walls of baby girl Donaldson's room, and then handed it over to me to add all of the details!
We make a pretty good team!

Peace out Bensenville...
Well, it's finally happening! Kurt, Oscar, Lyla and I will be moving to our OWN place on March 1!
It is being painted and recarpted at the moment, so I couldn't get any good pictures...but I am sure that I will be posting 500 of them!
I.can't.wait.

Doggie Birthday Party and more...
It feels like it has been forever since I posted anything, and I am having trouble remembering all that has gone on in that time period. I know that we have been really busy, but mostly with boring things that are totally non-blogworthy.
We have sucessfully filed our taxes in the last week for the first time as a married couple (we were only married 2 months in 2009, so we filed seperate,) given the dogs baths, I've worked 40+ hours while poor Kurt has been layed off. He has done SO many household projects with his spare time though, including 3 million loads of laundry, installing his mother's new computer, fixing the garage door that I broke, and more.
We did get out for a little bit of fun last weekend though. Our friend, Patti, who watches the dogs while we are away, had a birthday shindig for Oscar, her oldest of 7 doxies. He turned 17 on the 13th! She even ordered a little doggie cake and everything! Here are a few pics...

New Home for the Rosenberghs?
As most of you know, Kurt and I have been shacking up with my mother-in-law for the last 2 years. I am very grateful for this, but lately I have been looking around for our own place.
Easier said than done.
First of all, location. Kurt and I both work within 6 miles of the house now. It is SO nice not to have to commute, and I am not really trying to start anytime soon!
Second, these dogs. We love our dogs, but I am SOO tired of carrying them up and down steps. We have been on the lookout for a new place with no stairs, or a place where we would only need to carry them up to go to bed at night.
Third, Space and Storage. Enough said.
Anyway, we may have found a place today. We met with the lady, looked around, now is the waiting game. So keep your fingers (and paws...for Osc and Lyla!) crossed!!
