Here comes the bride...

I can't even begin to describe how beautiful Kate is...

Ever since I can remember, I had a huge crush on Prince William, mostly in part to my grandpa bringing me home teen magazines from visits home to England. Needless to say, I outgrew my Royal fantasy...but it was amazing to see it play out for Kate!

Since getting my gallbladder out, I have not slept an entire night through, which is what I am going to blame for my not posting. I worked 4 days last week and had to call in sick on Friday because I was running a fever and feeling all over disgusting!

On a lighter note, Kurt and I are really making progress in making this house a home. Every room except the guest room is put together and has some unique touches. Oscar and Lyla are in heaven  now that the weather has warmed up a little. They love running from the front window in the living room, to the sliding glass door in the dining room, back and forth all day...taking in the sights and smells of spring.

Peace out gallbladder...

Well, sorry for being MIA...after 3 weeks of horrible pain, nausea, etc. I had my gallbladder removed somewhat urgently on Monday night/Tuesday morning. I'm not really sure, because I know I was taken to the OR around 9pm  or so, and that I got back to my room around 3am, so sometime in that time frame,

I'm feeling OK...very sore and having some troble eating though. I will post more when I can.

I'm not very good at this...

Blogging that is. I set this up as a way to keep our friends and family up to date with the happenings of this crazy little Rosenbergh home...and I have clearly not been going a good job. So here is whats been up with us.

We moved (duh) on March 1. Things are going great. The downstairs is pretty much all unpacked and I have pictures on the walls etc. The upstairs is another story. I have curtains up in the bedroom, and my closet is a total wreck while Kurtie's is neat and organized...I'll get there, eventually.

I've been up to my eyeballs with Lyla issues. Since moving here, she has developed a strange aversion to pooping outside. She used to do it all the time! She also likes to pee right on the back stoop, which is pretty gross. I have to go out there at night with a cup of warm, soapy water and rinse it away. Ack.
Also, her specialist gave us the all clear for her to be spayed by our regular vet, Dr. Brenda. However, Dr. Brenda is not saying that she is not comfortable with it. SOOOO, now my hands are tied again. I can go to the specialist and pay $4000 for the surgery, or find somewhere else.
I'm looking into taking her to U of I or U of Wisconsin as a possibility.  I really wanted to have this all done before her next heat cycle, but it doesn't look like thats going to happen.

Kurt had 2 weeks of "forced" vacation this last month. Its dumb. He HAS to take it, and because of where he sits on the seniority list, he can't take it any time after June 1. So he just picked 2 random weeks, and I guess it kind of worked out since we had this new house to get put together.

Kurt has also been asked to be a youth leader for our congregation. So far we have not done too much with the youth, but I am excited to get more into it, and maybe find my "niche" among people at church.

Me, well, jeez...I'm a mess. I ended up in the emergency room with an inflammed gallbladder about 2 weeks ago. Since then I have been pretty miserable, but staying home a lot for fear it might act up on me in public. Today I stayed home from work because I was up dealing with it all night, and I'm in quite a bit of pain this morning. I've been trying to get my craft room/guest bedroom organized as well. I have sold 3 things on etsy.com, which I am pretty proud of. I have a few more things in the works, which I will post pics of!

Well, I guess thats about all! Thanks for stopping by!

Bloging Vaca?

I haven't fallen off the planet just yet. We have been so crazy busy unpacking and making this place livable that I havent had much chance to get online.

Then there was the hard drive crash, the $500 specialist vet visit, and the back flare up!

Wahoo.

Oh yes, and the camera broke and is sitting in the shop until I have $70 to go pick it up. At that point, there WILL be pictures to post of the new house and whats been going on with us!

Have a wonderful weekend!
