Our neighborhood...
I know I have mentioned this before, but I really love our neighborhood. Its safe, the people are friendly, there are nice facilities to use, we really lucked out.
One other thing that I like is that when neighbors are throwing something out that might still be useful, like furniture, they set it to the side of the dumpster so that someone else can grab it if they need it. I've never lived anywhere where people do this, and it just strikes me as being such a kind thing to do! I have seen tables, chairs, clothes, and even baby stuff out there.
Here is today's neighborly offerings...

I'm not going to lie, I went over and eyeballed it...but Kurt said no more junk in the house until I finish up some other projects :)

Townhouse manners?
My neighbors next door are SO loud in the evenings when they come home from work! Every time one of them comes in they SLAM the sliding glass door, which then sends Oscar into a barking frenzy.
After they get settled, I think they like to rearrange their furniture, or wrestle, or something...because there is a lot of banging around against our living room wall for about 30-45 minutes every night. It doesn't really bother us, because we aren't sleeping at that time, and its not so bad that its knocking things off of our wall or anything.
However, they have made it pretty CLEAR how they feel about my dog and his barking. I'll be the first to admit that he voices his opinion a little more often than he should, but a lot of it is directly CAUSED by them slamming doors, etc.
Anyone else have a similar situation with a neighbor? What did you do? Is there any real solution that doesn't end with angry neighbors?

Sweet baby Avery!
Finally met this beautiful baby girl when I was in Virginia. I can't believe Katie MADE her!! She is absolutely gorgeous and SO good! Katie is pretty amazing herself, she is a natural and being a momma!
